We recently had a spring thaw, and this gave us a chance to see green grass and take down Christmas lights and pick up after the dogs. The grands and I got 18 pounds and their dad about the same, so we think that we picked up about 40 pounds of dog fertilizer otherwise known as poop around here. We had not been able to pick up since early in December, so it was quite a job, so to speak. My mom used to say, when we were kids, "Did you do your job?" Another euphemism for poop. Now why did I come up with that?
Here we were enjoying our spring thaw, when yesterday afternoon about 2:00 pm it started to snow. We have had enough of the white stuff. Well it got quite enthusiastic and snowed the rest of the day. I think we have 8-10 inches of the stuff. Max went out to do his business and help start a new wave of "fertilizing," and the snow was just too deep for him. It was a bit too close for his comfort zone. We have this lovely blanket of snow here, and there is shoveling ahead for this household. Happy travels.
