A friend passes

A friend of ours and brother of a really close friend has died.   He discovered two years ago that he had pancreatic cancer.  He was given originally six months but survived two years and had excellent care as well as family support.  I guess when you get to our age this becomes a common event.   Somehow that does not make it any easier.   We have recently learned that Foxy's brother Herb has cancer as well and that it is inoperable.  Herb says, "It is what it is."   He seems closed off to all of us and does not want our support.   We find solace from a pastor who says, "Lord, wrap this family in your arms and give them peace."   We do so and find peace.
