Critters

This morning when Max and I were taking our walk around the park we got to see a momma deer and her baby twin fawns. Max wanted to chase, but I kept him on his leash, and we moved onward. The babies are very cute but quickly grow up into adults who enjoy eating your flowers and shrubs and also frequently bolt in front of your car. In the Hill Country deer are a real traffic problem and the local comment is, "Not IF but WHEN you hit a deer." That says it all. We get to see other critters on a morning walk like opossums, skunks, snakes, and lots of birds. It is nice to live in a park and share the space with these critters. Happy travels.
