Happy Fourth of July

I hope each of you celebrated a wonderful Fourth of July. Here in the Southwest there were not as many firework demonstrations since it has been so dry from our extended drought, Kerrville did have a celebration which we could hear from our home but chose instead to watch a Capital Fourth on the television. We had been invited to have dinner with good friends Bill and Connie. It was a good meal of hamburgers, fruit salad and potato salad. We topped it all off with Bourbon Slushies, a specialty of Connie's. It was great fun, and we got to also meet their neighbors Sandra and Denny. So for us this was a lovely way to spend a Fourth of July. Happy travels.
