We took care of the boys for four of the five days in the work week. They kept us busy. This included taking Jon to his piano lesson, getting them to do homework, clean up their rooms and of course, play cards. They both have learned to play Canasta quite well and I think that they will soon be ready for Pinochle, a real favorite of mine. Two of the nights we also got dinner for them and their folks. There has been little time to update this bog
Then on the weekend we did some garage and estate sales but found little of use for our antique business. We do enjoy visiting various parts of the city of Denton and other close areas. We get into some beautiful homes and some in need of much repair or updating. We always wonder about the people who lived in the house and made it into their home. We hope to find new homes for any possessions that we might buy and place into our antique business for sale.
On Sunday we again enjoyed our new church home and the beautiful advent music and excellent sermon. Later in the day we returned to the church to help set up for the all church Christmas dinner. It was nice to get to know some of the members and be warmly welcomed as well. Dinner was fried chicken and homemade cookies for dessert. No one left empty and while seconds were offered, I did not see many partaking. It was a lovely day. Happy travels.
