Sunday, we went to church for a special Christmas service of bible readings and carols with several anthems from our wonderful choir. The Church was filled to capacity and when we were singing the carols the sound filled the sanctuary to capacity. It was wonderful and very moving.
Later in the afternoon we drove to Kim's house to begin her birthday celebration. She opened several presents and then we six loaded up into their car and headed to North Dallas to go to Raise 1, a lovely restaurant for dinner. This restaurant specializes in souffles which varied from savory to sweet. We also had a choice of soup and left filled. Would we return? You bet!
To top off this lovely evening we then went to hear a musical version of Charles Dickins's Scrooge. We think it was held in a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was wonderful and the performance of Scrooge was terrific. The boys sat on the edge of their seats and thoroughly enjoyed this classic tale. What a wonderful treat in all aspects. Happy travels.
