Movies
We recently saw a movie, The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock. It was great fun and made me think of Shakespeare's, Taming of the Shrew. Good fun, and Sandra does a great job. Today we went to see Julie and Julia, a perfectly wonderful movie about Julia Child and a young Julie who blogs about her cooking her way through Julia's cookbook in a year. Both lives are featured, and although the acting is terrific, it is also frequently very funny. Julia can be easily parodied, but Meryl Streep does not fall into that trap and seems to really get into her role, so much so, you forget she is acting the part. This movie is well worth seeing and maybe even owning. Happy travels.
