Mother's Day

I believe that Mother's Day was invented by Franklin Delano Roosevelt as a way to honor his mother. This may not be the case, but it seems likely. Today in church we honored mothers, and in our small world we got a chance to visit by phone with my mom who is 98 years old and doing quite well. All of our children have called, and Foxy is delighted that she had a chance to visit with each of our kids. The President may have invented this day to honor his mother, but it gives each of us a chance to honor our moms. Truly a lovely tradition. Happy travels.
