Late this morning we arrived at the home of Herb and Sue to find that he did not have a good night. He has problems with his GI tract and needs relief. Three days with no relief was getting to be quite old. Sue talked to his doctor and they sent her to the drug store for a strong laxative. By the time she returned the doctor thought it would be better if Herb was in the hospital. As soon as a room opened Sue took him there.
In the meantime we tried to be helpful around the house. I mowed the front lawn and Foxy cleaned the refrigerator, tossing out several science experiments from there. When we finished our jobs we also went to the hospital to be supportive. We spent several hours there and finally it was decided to do a Cat Scan of his lower abdomen to see if there was any blockage. We left for home and later found out that Herb was feeling better since he finally got some relief. We still do not know whether they did a Cat Scan. We will return to the hospital tomorrow and see what progress has been made and whether the feeding tube is to be installed. Keep those prayers and thoughts coming for Herb and Sue. Happy travels.
